About Joan Willoughby
Water media artist, Joan Willoughby has been interested in art since childhood, but has been able to pursue that interest more intensively since retirement. She paints what interests and attracts her attention in her surroundings, no matter where she is. She loves the vibrant colors of Acrylics and watercolors, although she occasionally will do an oil painting. She has studied with internationally renowned artists, Steven Quiller (water media) and Don Sahli (oils). Her work has been published in the 20014 edition of Rocky Mountain Reflections. She is a board member of the Vail Valley Art Guild. Her work has been shown in the Bohemian Gallery in Beaver Creek and at The Art Gallery at Keystone Lake, and in exhibits in the Vail and Avon CO libraries.
